The Weekend Watercolor Workshop

My new book on watercolor will be out in print in May 2009. This book is a compilation of answers to questions from students from many years of teaching workshops on watercolor, around the United States and abroad.

It is a easy to follow and very comprehensive step by step guide through the difficult medium of watercolor. It is a self guided workbook, designed to help your understand the basics of watercolor, and demystify it for students. You can work on the skills each weekend until you understand the medium. There are many exercises to help you understand their innate nature.

This is for any level of painter. My views for successful watercolors, are based on why the colors do what they do, rather than just showing you a specific technique. While the book is rich in demonstrations, and illustrations, it invites the artist to play in watercolor. Playing is the only way to learn and of course is the most fun way!
